The cow Tarine or of Tarentaise is the queen of the Beaufort. The tarine cow can reach 600 kilos to adulthood. The milk of the cow of Tarentaise is used in the manufacturing of cheeses: Beaufort, Reblochon, Tome of Bauges, Emmenthal and Tomme cheese of Savoy .
The race Tarentaise contributes to the quality of the landscapes of Savoy. In summer, the tarines contribute to the maintenance of ski runs: grazed, the herb holds(retains) the snow-covered and reduce coat the risks of avalanches.
